Evaluation: I think I have done well this term at being a self managing learner time to work on self directed. I think that I have completed self managing by working hard on my learning and getting everything done on time. Next I want to work on being a courageous learner because I get a little bit nervous when it comes to trying new things.

Description: every Monday afternoon we do Maori this week we did an I'm hungry video. Here is the link to the video
Big idea: we did a video about asking our friend what they like and what they don't like
Pronounce the words correctly
Make your words sound clear
Feedback/feedforward:You did well at pronouncing the words but next time you shouldn't have a funny face as your face gracie
Evaluation: I think I did a good job on the video but even better at pronouncing the words next I could work on is a louder voice.

We went through multiple plans like: burger plan( there are five parts to this plan but I forgot what they are) the plan were we describe the people in the story and they plan were we set the place.

Evaluation: I think I haven't achieved my goal just yet but I'm going to keep trying because in the end I'll get there but my new goal should be complex sentences because I haven't used it at all!
Feedback/feed forward: I have seen you at writing time and your head down doing your work! You could say what the high lighted bits are for your writing because other people won't know what there for.

Task: to imagine that in your dream one of these abandoned places
Here is my story:
Last night I dreamed that I was in an abandoned fair ground. I heard footsteps coming closer and closer I started to run, the footsteps got faster and faster, in my head I was thinking " who is this person chasing me? Is it even a person?" I got to the edge of the water. I jumped, it didn't go well,the water was covered in ICE! The ice cracked I fell in th hyperborean water, I scrambled out of the frigid water, it was hard but I did it. I ran again, the dark figure stopped me I struggled to get away, after two minutes of struggling I finally got free! I clambered onto the Ferris wheel, it gave a mighty jerk, it started rolling I knew what was going to happen next, the Ferris wheel crushed the town and I was to blame. I gave in to the dark figure I let it kill me.

Description: we are are learning about addition and subtraction strategies in math we were giving a piece of paper with a rebel sport catalogue it had 4 questions on the bottom to figure out with strategies here are some of them
. Rounding and compensating (it is when you round the number to the nearest ten or hundred and compensate the number you added or add the number you take away)
. Place value partitioning ( it is when you add one part of the number with the other part of the number to make the sum easier eg: 345+455=800
For question 1 I used rounding and compensating and place value partitioning)
1 rounding and compensating) 379+1=380,345+5=350,350+380=730-6=724
2 place value partitioning) 300+300=600,70+40=110,9+5=14,110+600=710+14=724
Feedback/feedforward: I like the way you did everything on your blog.
Next time you can do a paragraph so everyone can read it easily shaiv.
Evaluation: I think I did well on rounding and compensating but I think I need to work on doubles.

YDescription: Every thursday we do science.we had to choose a teacher to do science with chose ebony. In ebonys science we are learning about animal adaptations and biological and behavioral adaptations. Biological adaptations are parts they are born with and behavioral adaptations are things that they learnt to do.

Big idea: my question was why do arctic foxes change color? I looked at lots of websights but found nothing then I came to a websight that had the info I was looking for! I decided to present my inquiry using pic collage.

Description: this term we started reading workshops! What are reading workshops? Reading workshops are little groups the teachers take onto the mat to learn about their goal. The goals are comprehension and expand vocabulary, if we're not at a workshop we are doing tic tac toes they are tasks that comprehension and expand vocabulary need to do there are six new ones each week we have to get three done each week. My goal is comprehension. I am going to show you one of the tic tac toe's
Here is the task I showed you.
Success criteria: to make text to text connections, text to world connections and text to self connections. Text to text is making connections between texts. Text to self is making connections between you and the text.text to world is making connections between the world and the text.
Evaluation: I think I did well on my tic tac toe task because I think that all my other tic tac toes are a bit flimsy and don't have a lot of thought put into it but this one I'm most proud of because I had to think about the character and myself to complete it.
Next time I think I could work on putting more words that make me just like my book character to make it more detailed and more thoughtful to be a great piece of work.
Feedback/feedforward: you have done a really good job on your poster and I can see all the great connections you have made between you and Andy's older sister next time you could maybe put some color in your poster. Georgia
