Stuck on the pole

On Monday, we watched a really funny movie about 2 people who get stuck on an escalator. Have you seen it?

   

We think that we can relate the message in this movie to our learning...Its like being stuck in our learning, we need to ask for help and we need to look for ways to solve the problem ourselves. We thought it would be fun to make our own movie to get this message across. We had 2 groups of criteria for our movie...

Criteria: (Content)

  • Video - 30 seconds long, time is limited. 
  • Scenario - Show someone being stuck and not using the ability to act. 
  • Clear Message - Short sharp clip. Can the watcher get the point of your video?
  • Unique - Coming up with something funny that gets a laugh from others. 
  • Time Passing - Do you need to show time passing in your clip to emphasise your message. 
Criteria: ( movie)
  • Light - Make sure the sun isn’t creating a hard to see clip. 
  • Voice Volume - Needs to be louder than other background volume eg Noise, Kids.
  • Frame - What’s in the frame to make your message obvious. R
  • Steady Hands - Make sure the camera is still. 
  • Individual Clips - Don’t do one continuous shot of 30 seconds. Make a range of short clips and join together.

Term 1 swimming

Description: this term we started swimming, this post will have my swimming goal and video for my goal I hope you enjoy!


Goal: to focus on my legs in freestyle because they go everywhere
I will know if I have achieved my goal because I will make video and watch it over and over.
I am confident with the goal I've set and I'll make sure I achieve it before swimming sports at the lido.

Evaluation: 
I think I could next time work on my breathing because my head goes up instead of going sideways 
I think I did well at achieving my goal because every time I practiced I got Better and better each time and swimming sports since I've achieved my goal I came 4th!

Term 1 Math test mania

Description: we did some tests to see were we are at for math this year I got really frustrated not being able to finish the second test. The highlights are pink for what I need to work on yellow for what I have achieved.

My first goal is to round numbers to 10 and 100 
I will achieve this by practicing three times a day at school and at home.
Some day I will be higher than anyone at school at math
I will have achieved this on the 28th/2/15

I learned that if you want 36 to go to the nearest 10 add four and you get 40

That was me growing up

Purpose: write memories of your childhood 


Description: we had to write a story about our childhood I wrote about going to the zoo and racing at the shop, I hope you like my story


Here is my story:
Remember going to the zoo and seeing the tiger as it pounced at the glass banging its snout? Poor tiger. Exhaustedly exiting the zoo while I was howling in tears about not seeing the cheetahs I guess that makes me a bit of a fit monster huh?

Remember going to the store and snagging a trolley? I heard Fyfe saying " let's race I'll push the trolley you race me." Thinking "okay." I said it out loud. I won at the finish line my pants slipped down. I was extremely embarrassed, I was also feeling playful
